Peak Daily Record as bears primed for ‘thrilling transfer finale’

The Daily Record has thrown the kitchen sink at the final day of the Transfer Window with their Army of Readers becoming increasingly disillusioned.

All of the hype for the Phil Clement Revolution! looks like another false dawn from the Glasgow publisher that is heading for the abyss at the same rate as their cherished Tribute Act.

A variety of stars have been tipped to rock up at Ibrox, unfortunately most have required transfer fees with the players looking for wages in line with James Tavernier, Todd Cantwell and the other serial losers.

Scraping the barrel Liam Kelly and Connor Barron have been brought in from the bottom six of the SPFL, after just five matches the former Aberdeen midfielder is carrying Joey Barton like expectations into Sunday’s match away to the SPFL champions.

Gushingly, this morning the Record claims

Busy Rangers have kickstarted a manic finish on deadline day as they reportedly close in on the signing of Feyenoord defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo on a season-long loan.

The versatile 22-year-old – who can play both in central defence and at right-back – is primed to leave Rotterdam and head to Ibrox in a deal which will include an option to buy. He spent last season on loan at Rapid Vienna after joining Arne Slot’s side following an impressive period with Groningen after he left Ajax.

Now 1908.nl insists a deal between Rangers and Feyenoord has been agreed for a player who has received minutes at the start of the Eredivisie season.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo has Failed Starlet stamped all over him, a sort of Leon King without the Champions League humiliations on his CV.

With Scott Wright and Todd Cantwell dragging their heels over pay-offs before moving on it looks like Phil Clement will spend most of today phoning around for favours from other clubs despite the fawning coverage from the Record.

Players surplus to requirements moving on Transfer Deadline Day are rarely the most motivated- joining a demoralised squad of players fearful of their own fans is unlikely to fire up Kasanwirjo.

Clement is expected to delay his media conference until tomorrow with a full day of preparations from his media minders before facing his select audience.

It must be highly comforting for theRangers to know that Inaction ,Gav , wee Scotty ,Fras ,big Andy ,Pirie and a slew of other digital scoops , editors and offshoot pals at the daily Record , are babysitting for the tribute act .. especially in the transfer window ? A more Uber loyal bunch of ‘ super hacks ‘ impossible to be found anywhere in the scooping industry . Cleaning ,scrubbing , polishing , and buffing up every single piece of unwanted info turning into a Tour De Force for the desperate rag . The problem the Record has is that today’s sterilisation work is tomorrow’s wiping material for manky windows ! Refine ..purify ..print …the transfer window cup is in the bag !
