Midway through the close season a group of Celtic fans decided it was just dragging by too slowly.
The European Championships is fine as a diversion but no-one can pretent is is any substitute for the real thing- watching Celtic in action and delivering trophies.
Four weeks ago Adam Idah ensured that the season ended in style with the winning goal in the Scottish Cup Final to deliver a summer of celebrations.
Although there are pre-season friendlies coming up against Ayr United and Queens Park it won’t be until DC United are faced on July 21 that there will be a real opportunity to watch the hoops back in proper action.
Killing the gap and sprucing up a routine city bus tour a group of fans jumped on board for an open top tour of the city with a replica trophy and some green pyro to recreate some of the magic from May when trophies 117 and 118 were decked out in Green and White.

On Monday there will be a partial return to Lennoxtown but with four players involved at the European Championships it will be a mainly young and inexperienced group that report back to start their build up to the 24/25 season.
No new signings have been announced with some signs of anxiety surfacing among fans desperate to avoid a repeat of last season’s Recruitment programme.
A new goalkeeper should be a priority signing, almost a new name has been linked with Celtic since Joe Hart retired but no solid links have emerged from the speculation.
After losing to Lazio in November Rodgers revealed that he had wanted four quality additions when he agreed to return as manager.
Since then Joya, Carl Starfelt, Aaron Mooy, Liel Abada and Joe Hart have been lost which leaves a core squad that barely reaches into double figures.
With training returning and the European Championships reaching the knock-out stages fans will be looking for signs of who could be next season’s heroes.
Meanwhile some will just have to enjoy a bus tour and reliving the glories of May 2024 as a double that looked seriously in doubt during February was delivered in the most dramatic of circumstances.
