Footy Headlines has been told that Adidas has been in talks with the club. However, as of now, Footy Headlines has plausible reasons to believe that Adidas won’t be making Rangers’ 2025-26 kits.
Specifically, the main design element of the new Celtic away kit is a horizontal pinstripe pattern in both shades of green. The accents colors also appear in the other elements of the Adidas template as well as the simplified club badge.
When transfer news is thin on the ground there is always leaked, rumoured and concept kits for Celtic fans to discuss.Earlier in the week Adidas released the home kit which has been given a far higher approval rating that last season’s ‘stained glass’ effort which seems destined to be remembered…
The hoops are very clearly defined, of a decent width with a light pattern through them but nothing as startling as the current ‘stained-glass’ look.
So far this season three kits have been used by the first team but the most popular shirt, a plainer than plan hoops creation brought out as a limited edition in September has yet to be seen on the pitch.
Footy Headlines is acknowledged as the go-to site for all forms of kit from first shirt to third or fourth, giakleeper through to training wear.
The contemporary home kit will no doubt sell in big volumes but will never win any popularity contest although it may well have been designed to provide the maximum possible contrast with the origins kit.
One of the three new features might have been acceptable but throwing together broken hoops, the ‘stained glass’ look and lots of black just doesn’t work. Tellingly there is no sign of the long sleeved shirt in today’s video.
A few fans have reacted favourably but it appears that more than 90% are very hostile to the 23/24 home kit with that figure rising by 9% for the long sleeve version.
