Eli Novin has produced a masterpiece video that will be savoured by Celtic fans for years to come, especially the moment when Daizen Maeda’s penalty hits the back of the net.
The young Iranian student is based in Glasgow and has a flair for capturing the mood of the city with Hampden the ideal setting for contrasting emotions among 50,000 highly invested supporters.
Good football was barely allowed to break out but for drama and tension it made for compulsive viewing with the feelings inside the National Stadium matched at homes, pubs and clubs across the country.
It takes a special nerve for a young Iranian female to go to that fixture on her own. To take a ticket in among the angry bears and scarier bearettes requires devotion above the call of duty in order to produce and share a 17 minute video that has to be considered an all-time classic.
That is some absolutely marvellous content 🤌🤌🤌

Perched in a seat close to where the West Stand meets the North Stand, Novin holds the camera steady as Maeda’s penalty hits the back of the net for the deciding moment in a contest that lasted close to three hours.
As soon as the ball hits the net thousands of loyal bears turn their back on their exciting young team as they head for the exits while chaos reigns at the other end of the stadium.
Novin’s camera then follows the absolute joy of the Celtic players as they run towards their own fans after congratulating Kasper Schmeichel and Maeda.
The joy is crystal clear, with one half of the stadium in the pits of despair the heroes in green and white jump up in the air, punching into the night as the relief spills out over clinching the 119th trophy in Celtic’s glorious history, even more than the old Rangers despite the handicap of handing over National Insurance and Income Tax deducted from wages.
Even from afar you can feel the emotion at the other end of the stadium, hundreds of fans are on the track behind the advertising hoarding, the MAKE RANGERS GREET AGAIN banner is unfurled.
And so the video continues, giving a real feeling of the day, with an edge and emotion that Premier Sports couldn’t capture despite their squad of expert pundits sharing insights.
You’ll Never Walk Alone and Last Christmas are sung with passion, capturing a cup win that no one will ever forget the detail of.
