Obsessed Kris Boyd phoned Willie Collum demanding explanation for Kuhn not getting second yellow card!

Obsessed Kris Boyd phoned up Willie Collum looking for an explanation over why Nicolas Kuhn wasn’t booked for celebrating his 87th minute goal away to Ross County.

With Ross County ahead then on level terms going into the final few minutes the goal from the German was a real sickener for Boyd as he watched Celtic rack up yet another vital win to maintain their 100% start to the season.

As most players do away to Ross County the goal hero continued his run towards the away support where he was joined by a couple of team-mates to enjoy coming from behind to go in front in the latter stages.

Boyd looked gutted when he was asked for his full time analysis on Sky Sports after watching Celtic dig deep to produce the type of win that has been the hallmark of their three-in-a-row title successes.

With nothing else to grasp at he highlighted the goal celebration claiming that Kuhn should have been given his second yellow card of the day leaving Celtic to complete the match with 10 men.

For years celebrating with fans hasn’t been an automatic yellow card but as Sky Sports viewers will know Boyd doesn’t like arguments that don’t suit his twisted viewpoint.

James McFadden and Aiden McGeady laughed at the petted lip and anger of their fellow pundit who has kept the argument going even though he has repeatedly been shown the rule.

During The Warm Up podcast hosted by Gordon Duncan and Sam North Boyd nominated Kuhn as his Player of the Season to date then switched to a familiar theme during which a bit more detail than was necessary slipped out about media contact with the Head of Refereeing at the SFA.

24 minutes 18 seconds

Boyd: And also you can add in there, should he have been yellow carded for his celebrations?

Duncan: Oh he’s not letting that go.

North: He’s still going on about this

Duncan: Honestly

North: The ‘red card’ that should have been

Duncan: Listen, my good friend Willie Collum, I’ll put you in touch with him, and we can

Boyd: How do you know that I haven’t spoken to him?

Duncan: I know that you have spoken to him.

SILENCE…

Duncan: Listen, you have to go through me to get to him now

North: You’re his agent?

Boyd: It is one of those ones now, when I phoned him you are sitting next to him on the couch

Duncan: I know that you have spoken to him, don’t you worry

Boyd: Noe me, noe me

North (quickly changing direction) Anyone watching, player of the season so far

Duncan has become Collum’s media minder, joining him for an SFA show where they avoid the big controversies and put on a front of providing transparency on referee and VAR matters.

Collum also appeared on Super Scoreboard alongside Duncan where he famously implied that there is no purpose to referees like John Beaton, David Dickinson and Steven McLean declaring the team that they support and being taken off their fixtures.

Duncan has become vey useful for the SFA in defending VAR issues, in the next show with Collum it is highly unlikely that they will discuss the squinty lines of Andrew Dallas used to disallow an early ‘goal’ from Kyogo Furuhashi in Celtic’s 3-0 victory in the Glasgow Derby.
