It’s difficult to decide who has made the bigger fool of themselves this past week – Police Scotland, the dying media or the Celtic board led by Michael Nicholson.
It’s a close run thing but I think Mark Hargreaves’ former employer, the thoroughly discredited and disgraced Police Scotland might just be the winners.
It takes a lot for this national embarrassment of an organisation to attract attention these days but they didn’t let their lower than a snake’s belly reputation hold them back.
“We are aware of an image circulating on social media that appears to show a supporter at the Dundee United vs Celtic game on Wednesday, 17 December, 2025 holding a bladed weapon” a spokesperson for the institutionally racist Police Scotland said last Friday.
IT’S A WHOPPER!
Knowing how difficult it is to get an official statement from Mark Hargreaves mates, this was an absolute whopper.
We truly live in the times of alternative facts.
Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody, who looked at that picture saw a blade.
Even if there was a one per cent chance there was a blade in that hand, the supporters arm was resting on the shoulders of police officers.
And two of those officers were seen smirking and smiling in the picture.
I wouldn’t bet on either of those officers getting a promotion any time soon.
Not for having missed the fantasy knife but for appearing to be in a pleasant mood in close proximity to Celtic fans.
The Match Commander won’t have been impressed.
Getting the Police media team to issue that farcical statement explains exactly why Celtic recruited Mark Hargreaves and his contact book.
Because without that official comment from the boys in blue even dying media outlets like the Daily Record, The Sun and STV wouldn’t be prepared to run the “story”.
All on the watch of Nicholson. Approved by the CEO or one of his Heads of Department. Another on the crime sheet of the silent CEO.

CLICKETY CLICK
So with the police joining in on the Celtic boards pile on against all Celtic fans, the gutter press were only too happy to wade in as well.
Journalistic standards do not exist in the “newsrooms” of the dying media.
Don’t let the complete absence of a blade prevent you from running a good knife story.
All Celtic fans are now awaiting with bated breath an update on the Manhunt For The Tannadice Finger.
Having passed on the Tannadice Finger farce, the BBC joined in the defamation of Celtic fans on Saturday afternoon.
Tom English and Michael Stewart got themselves all worked up live on air about fantasy hidden meanings in recent communications from the Celtic Fans Collective.
There was no telling where this laughable conspiracy theory was headed when their bubble was well and truly burst by an actual member of the big, bad, scary, sinister Collective.
Peter Kelly called in the show to point out some basic facts and ol’ Toms bottle well and truly crashed.
Here’s a few tips for you Tom.
1 – An assault is not an assault until a sheriff or a jury says it is.
2 – If the Celtic Fans Collective ever elect a leader, they’ll let you know.
3 – Jeanette Findlay is not to be trifled with.
THE SMEAR CAMPAIGN
Unable to smear the entire Celtic support on his own, Nicholson is recruiting help in the shape of Police Scotland and the dying media.
Sooner or later the Celtic CEO is going to realise that a big event is on the way. At some point in the next four of five months he’s going to have to ask the support to give him around £30 million for season tickets.
And he’s going to have to do it having spent the best part of 2025 asset stripping a promising first team, chasing away a winning manager and constantly accusing all those season ticket holders of being violent criminals.
That is an almost impossible task.
Just as well for Celtic that in Nicholson they have the man with the charm, charisma and communication skills to pull it off.
Over to you Michael.

Dunno bout anyone else but when I looked at some of the first pics issued on the “blade” it was very apparent it was a pointing finger.
If you look closely at the Record splash pic, it has clearly been doctored to make the hand look like its got a handle in it.
I say again, if I was that fan, I would be identifying myself and getting my lawyer onto them.

Do you seriously believe Celtic colluded with Police Scotland and the media to come up with this story? If so, you’re more paranoid than I thought. You’re embarrassing yourself.

Well Miles Jupp, you are so easily deceived. You are the one who should be blushing, NOT Bhoy4life. .

Hi Miles
Just a coincidence then that two thoroughly discredited organisations, Police Scotland and the Celtic board, happen to be throwing false allegations against Celtic fans around like confetti this season?
This season being former Police Scotland officer Mark Hargreaves first season employed at Celtic.
Just a coincidence that all those Celtic fans kettled on London Road suspected the Celtic board had colluded with Police Scotland and the board felt the need to publicly deny the accusations.
Just a coincidence that since Mark Hargreaves appointment we are seeing Celtic stewards treating mostly young Celtic fans like dirt, just the way Police Scotland do.
Just a coincidence that Celtic and Police Scotland released similar statements at the same time accusing Celtic fans that attended the Falkirk home game.
Ask Police Scotland where they got the address for the disgraceful, disgusting dawn raid on a Celtic fan.
Good luck to you if you think it’s all a coincidence.
Mark Hargreaves spent his entire professional career furthering the aims of an institutionally racist organisation.
His evil eyes have no place in Paradise.

The board are a disgrace they are constantly berating our fans when other boards are thankful and appreciative of their supporters.. This problem will bever be sorted until the board change their attitude and work with the supporters. Every support have fans that are not compliant to everything in life and l do not think our fans are so bad.
