The two outstanding videos of Celtic’s Double Triumph

There is absolutely no shortage of video content from Celtic’s 25/26 season double triumph.

As well as the professional broadcasters given special access in and around stadiums there are dozens or hundreds of others producing content on social media.

Some are very raw and home made, that has a charm, others are a bit more serious. Professional looking but retaining a grainy connection with the star attraction- the fans.

The moments involving Daizen Maeda, Arne Engels and Kelechi Iheanacho have all gone viral.

They were watched live on Premier Sports and BBC Scotland, on the news bulletins and covered from every angle.

Eli Novin is an Iranian with an eye for what really makes Glasgow tick. Not the PR campaigns and advertising. The qualities taken for granted but rarely found in any other city.

THE STRESS AND STRAIN OF BEING A CELTIC FAN CHASING THE SPFL TITLE

Glasgow is Green and White. Celtic and Celtic fans are the cities greatest asset regardless of how the civil authorities and others feel about it.

Novin has been capturing Celtic fans for a few years, her skill is in the editing. She puts the clips together in a way that you won’t switch off from because there is interest in almost every minute of her footage.

16 May 2026 is a day that very few Celtic fans will forget.

Alas there was no You Tube equivalent back in 1986, all that we have is Jock Brown on Scotsport as the goals flew in plus the magic moment when Jim Stewart caught the ball as the terracing behind erupted.

Up in Dundee Albert Kidd was providing some memorable moments. Albert Kidd, without a goal all season came up with two in the last ten minutes after going on as a substitute.

The decision to send on Kidd must still haunt manager Archie Knox to this day. It is claimed that the win bonus didn’t mean much to John Brown.

Forty years later you have every angle covered of Celtic’s 25/26 title win.

The main focus is on The Real McCoy on the junction of London Road with Springfield Road.

The tension is unbearable. An overcrowded pub full of anxious Celtic fans knowing that the events on a screen will determine how their summer will look.

A dependency on Maeda, VAR correcting mistakes and the unlikeliest hero of all in Callum Osmand.

It seemed like a lifetime passed between David Roome wrongly flagging offside against Maeda and Osmand’s brilliant 3 v 0 clincher.

The scenes in the Real McCoy and London Road matched the elation inside the stadium.

OH HAMPDEN IN THE SUN

The footage from the Scottish Cup Final has a very different feel to it.

Around Hampden Celtic and Dunfermline fans passed by each other with barely a wayward stare.

Both sets of supporters were happy to be there. Enjoying their day.

For a town/city of 40,000 it is a big achievement for Dunfermline to get 17,000 fans across the country to Hampden.

The stress and anxiety of Celtic fans was nowhere to be seen around Hampden. All was relaxed in the sun, after the stress of the SPFL a cup final against lower division opponents should be fairly straightforward.

There was still a fair number of fans outside Hampden when the match kicked off.

After the stragglers got in Novin headed to the Beechwood which was busy without being mobbed.

There was no great drama to capture as Celtic produced the expected performance to secure a 3-1 victory and the trophy.

A trip into Glasgow Cross was another mellow affair. The Tolbooth regulars were happy without swinging from the lights.

Celtic and the Celtic support move on into an uncertain future.

There are no signs that the club is preparing for any big changes.

As ever fans are on the outside looking in. A sideshow but the only constant, Celtic’s only asset regardless of what the accountants and lawyers think.

WTF is the deal with the weirdos at the front pushing a shopping trolley, the clowns wearing Hun-style gimp masks? FFS.
