On Monday Billy Gaddi of the Daily Record was contacting the Rutherglen Vogue CSC looking to get two seats to Tannadice on Wednesday.
On Friday Gaddi was smearing the ‘blade moron’ among the Celtic support for the Record website.
The story was instantly trashed. It had less credibility than Craig Whyte’s off the radar wealth. Ask Keith about that one Billy if you are reading/trawling.
With the blade terror story taken apart Gaddi wasn’t deterred. On Saturday the Record carried it as a page lead, any excuse to put the boot into Celtic fans goes down well with their ageing Army of Readers.
Gaddi could now be climbing the ladder at the Record, a rising star.
Outside in the real world his credibility is shot to pieces. Especially among Celtic fans which is kind of unfortunate for hoops daft Gaddi.
THE RECORD AGENDA
Over the last few days he has achieved notoriety online. The army of Internet Bampots were quickly on the ‘story’ which first came to light in the darkest corners of social media.
Only the thickest of the thick, the most gullible of the gullible would take a blade to a Scottish football ground.
What sort of idiot would then take their blade out, casually lean over a column of Police Officers and taunt Celtic directors with the blade?
Amazingly that sort of story is believable inside the Daily Record.
No News Editor or sub-editor stepped in to say ‘wait a minute, that is pish Billy. We’ll be a laughing stock printing that sort of story’.
The Record has been decimated in recent years inside the Reach Group but there must be someone between Gaddi and the PUBLISH button. Another story to trash what is left of the Record’s credibility.
No. It seems not. The story went online on Friday afternoon, it was out in print on Saturday.

STREETWISE BHOYS
Fortunately the Vogue bus are street-wise, they’ve been round the block and back again a few times.
When a random gets in touch through social media to book two seats it isn’t difficult to do a quick check on them.
Take a look at their profile, what content they share, who they follow.
Gaddi seems genuine when you look at who he follows, loads of Celtic accounts.
But that is where his credibility ends. It is quite clear that he is a Daily Record reporter, sharing his own stories and other trash from the ailing Glasgow publisher.
Note to Billy- you won’t find many CSC’s rolling out the welcome mat for you or your colleagues. Celtic fans are rightly suspicious of anyone employed by that organisation.
THE DIGITAL FUTURE IS NOW
After Google checking ‘wealth off the radar’ a search for ‘thugs and thieves’ tells you all you want to know about the Daily Record.
Any young Celtic fans with aspirations for a career in journalism has plenty of options.
There are a number of well established independent Celtic websites. They welcome new writers. Share opinions, break news stories.
No one needs to go down the legacy media path.
Online there is a massive market for Celtic news and views. The options have never been greater- as long as you are genuine, the real deal.
Stories like the blade moron only accelerate the inevitable death of the Daily Record. Perhaps Gaddi has unexpectedly done us all a favour.

There was once a day when that kind of obvious shite would never have made it past an editor, clearly the editor of this bog roll of a rag is either utter crap or as blue nosed as the rest of them.
That rag has zero credibility, unfortunately they know their audience so credibility isn’t must have.
