Celtic attack the Green Brigade again

The Green Brigade have been banned from attending the next three Celtic home matches.

The club announced the move following what they and Police Scotland claim was an assault on a member of matchday staff who was conducting a “routine ticket check” at the recent Falkirk home game.

Both Celtic and Police Scotland also allege that “police officers” were assaulted.

REFUTED

Both of these claims have been strongly refuted by the Green Brigade who said “Celtic FC and Police Scotland were both the architects and aggressors” at the alleged incident.

The club have acted extremely swiftly to punish Celtic fans in stark contrast to their policy of not criticising Police Scotland earlier this year when they detained hundreds of Celtic fans for five hours on London Road.

In a very strongly worded statement the club have claimed a “large group verbally abused and assaulted the steward and police officers”.

It is extremely unusual for such a serious allegation to be made against an identifiable group of people and not an individual.

HIGH SECURITY DETENTION ZONE

This site has documented how the club has gradually turned the north curve area of the stadium into a high security detention zone over the course of this season.

Massive resources have been expended on employing a small army of stewards to man wave after wave of human barriers leading to the north curve.

Fans have been prevented from moving around the stadium and having to undergo “ticket checks” to go to and from the toilets.

Huge metal barriers were erected to prevent fans walking along the concourse.

The relationship between the club stewards and supporters in the area has completely broken down.

The attitude of the stewards towards Celtic fans is nothing short of disgraceful.

And this is in addition to the completely broken relationship between Celtic fans and Police Scotland.

FROM NICHOLSON DOWN

This problem started at the very top of our club.

Michael Nicholson has refused to engage with fans ever since becoming the club CEO.

That hostile attitude towards fans has permeated throughout the whole club.

It is no surprise that a “routine ticket check” has led to this flashpoint as fans have become increasingly frustrated and inconvenienced at having to produce a season ticket to move anywhere in the stadium.

Despite spending hundreds of pounds every season to support our team, fans can expect to be treated as criminals on arrival at the ground.

The club has created a toxic atmosphere anywhere close to the north curve.

And yet the club are perfectly happy to punish and make extremely serious criminal allegations against Celtic fans while remaining silent on the conduct of Police Scotland.

DOUBLE STANDARDS

Still nothing to say either about the racist bile spewed out constantly by fans from Ibrox when they visit Celtic Park.

There are broken relationships everywhere at Celtic and they all revolve around the clubs board and executives.

We are currently looking for a new manager because Brendan Rodgers relationship with the powers that be had broken down.

Nicholson has quite intentionally decided not to speak to fans during his tenure as CEO.

And now we have fans banned from the stadium after a complete breakdown in their relationships with club stewards and Police Scotland.

We need a CEO who can build constructive relationships, not destroy them.

ON NICHOLSON’S WATCH

The recently released fan survey revealed a huge demand for increased safe standing at Celtic Park.

Anticipating this, the Green Brigade and Bhoys Celtic produced their own proposal for more rail seating by creating the “Celtic End” back in May 2023.

That proposal was ignored by the club who then took over a year to produce the results of the fan survey.

Rather than engage with the fans to find a solution, the club decided instead to introduce a massive security crackdown at the existing standing section.

A completely different approach to fan engagement is required at Celtic and Michael Nicholson is clearly not capable of providing it.

CONVENIENT

The Green Brigade ban came on the same day the Celtic Trust highlighted a “technical issue” that was preventing small shareholders voting in synch with the Trust.

Very convenient for the under fire board.

Several popular Celtic podcasts had their YouTube videos targeted by the club for copyright infringements also.

Having ceded some ground lately by releasing the Fairhurst Inquiry and the fan survey, it seems clear the club have now changed tack and are actively attacking various fan groups in the hope of splitting the Celtic Fans Collective.

A sure fire sign that the pressure being applied by the Collective is having an impact

It’s time to stick together and hold our nerve to get Nicholson, McKay and the board out of our club.

Not Another Penny.

I suspect that ALL of these extra officers employed on match days by their previous boss enjoy a very hefty recompense from Celtic FC .
I would like someone to ask the wage of a steward V the WAGE of a POLIS
Surely they are the same 😂😂😂😂😂😂
