Todd Cantwell has started the new season in trademark style by calling an Ibrox fan a weapon with a bell symbol at the end of his Instagram reply.
It seems that one bear wasn’t appreciative enough of the former Norwich starlet and his contribution last season which was uploaded on Saturday night.
Most Ibrox fans would rather forget about the campaign that ended in May watching Celtic lift two more trophies but Cantwell decided to remind them of his playing highlights including clips from matches against Celtic and the 5-1 hammering from PSV Eindhoven.
TikTok as he is affectionately known as by Celtic fans finished last season being substituted in the Scottish Cup Final before being man-handled away from the match officials at the final whistle by Phil Clement.
In his post match media conferences the Ibrox boss wasn’t asked about that incident, in one of his early matches in charge he substituted Cantwell after 35 minutes of the Europa League draw at home to ARIS Limassol.
At the end of last season it is believed that Cantwell was telling anyone that would listen that he expected to leave Ibrox during the summer transfer window.
That requires the huge presumption that there is a manager out there prepared to welcome a 26-year-old man child into the dressing room where he has a clear preference for social media and image ahead of anything of substance or meaningful on the pitch.
Even with Ryan Jack and John Lundstram no longer at Ibrox it is unlikely that Clement is going to put his trust on the former Norwich no-mark.
Away to Celtic in May needing a win to get back into the title race Clement sent on Ross McCausland, Scott Wright, Kemar Roofe and Nicky Raskin while TikTok was left frustrated on the bench.
With no sign of maturity on the park or on social media Clement will be desperate to offload the C-list influencer with TikTok already playing to the gallery for sympathy and support.
