After the misfortune of sharing a flight to Ibiza last year with some Seville-bound Ibrox fans Jota has adapted his summer travel plans.
The globe-trotting Superstar from Portugal provided plenty of entertainment on the pitch last season with his holiday escapades likely to be followed as closely as the movements of Dermot Desmond’s private jet.
First stop this year for Jota is Sardinia where he caught up with Carl Starfelt and Jacynta before the defender had to report for duty with Portugal.
Jota was named in an enlarged Portugal squad before the World Cup Finals but has to pass the time with holidays as he waits to complete his international collection with a full cap.
A couple of festival appearances, dropping in on the USA and Mexico are expected to be on the summer itinerary before checking back in at Lennoxtown and a return to Portugal for Celtic’s training camp before the trip to Japan.
