Celtic managed to pull it out the fire once again at Ibrox and now head to Pittodrie on Wednesday with our league challenge alive, just.
At half time on Sunday it looked like the asset stripped squad had finally been found out and the title would definitively slip away at Ibrox of all places.
Fans of The Rangers have been claiming their first half display as one of their best in living memory.
And yet it took a one-off spectacular overhead kick followed by a defensive balls up from Celtic to give them their half time lead.
That’s all they had to show for their historically magnificent performance against our makeshift shaky defence.
And all it took to swing the game back our way was a Martin O’Neill team talk and the introduction of arguably our biggest underperforming player this season, Reo Hatate.
2,000 DELIGHTED ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT CELTIC FANS
Ibrox was very quiet as the second half started as the home fans were clearly expecting a Celtic come back more than the 2,000 Tims in the Broomloan corner.
But despite having a lacklustre forward line in addition to our wobbly defence, Celtic went after them and got the draw.
Condolences to John Beaton on his death march to the VAR monitor and fruitless lengthy wait for the Zapruder angle that would have allowed him not to award us a stonewall penalty.
Take some popcorn next time John if your planning such a lengthy stay at the screen.
The penalty was eventually tucked away at the third attempt as The Rangers players looked on from the edge of the box.

And with that Ibrox was treated to an audition of the bedlam Celtic fans will generate at the cup tie on Sunday when we get to liberate the entire Broomloan.
It was quite the humbling for Danny “The Rug” Rohl who spent the build up to the game passing comment on Luke McCowan, Celtic’s goalkeeping options and our performance in Stuttgart.
DANNY ROHL’S SUDDEN DEMISE IN REAL TIME
It appears The Rug has been quickly co-opted into the Ibrox obsession with all things Celtic.
A path well trodden by Phil Clement, Pedro Caixinha and others recently.
Had Danny focussed on his own team he might have avoided the numerous angry calls for his head from his own fans on Sunday night.
In the midst of a disastrous season, brought to you by Michael Nicholson and friends, we still have a chance of lifting the title.
And it appears our Glasgow neighbours are no nearer capitalising on our decline despite new ownership (again) and throwing tens of millions at their team.
However this season ends, Celtic need to rebuild on a massive scale and put clear daylight between us and the Ibrox team, they should never have been allowed to get this close.
Special mention to the 2,000 Tims at Ibrox on Sunday, no doubt many of whom were just home from Stuttgart.
Together with the players and Martin O’Neill they have kept this season alive despite all the obstacles the Celtic board have put in our way.
