The Brazen Head has updated it’s signage to celebrate Scotland’s Most Successful Club.
Situated at the point where Pollokshaws Road starts in the Gorbals the pub recently welcomed Lubo Moravcik with Jota and Maik Nawrocki among past clients.
Over the last decade, from celebrating The Invincibles onwards it has almost been a Forth Road Bridge job to keep up to date with Celtic’s growing success.
The first trophy of the Invincible Treble, the League Cup win over Aberdeen in November 2016 was Celtic’s 100th trophy, a further 20 have been added since with more work anticipated after the Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen at Hampden on May 24.
Started by Brendan Rodgers during that incredible 2016/17 season the hoops are looking for their sixth treble in nine seasons.
Dismissing the freakish Lockdown season Celtic have only missed out on two trophies since Rodgers was first appointed.
Bobby Madden had his finest hour denying Ange Postecoglou an appearance in the 2022 Scottish Cup Final with a Showreel performance before he announced his retirement from the Scottish game.
In August 2023 Alan Muir produced a similar type of display as Celtic lost out to Kilmarnock in the League Cup, circumstances caught up on Muir in February when he went overboard to deny Daizen Maeda a goal against Hibs.

When Martin O’Neill was delivering the 2001 treble The Brazen Head was one of the few easily identified Celtic pubs in the city, these days it seems that there is a new addition every month.
Since the end of Lockdown the Merchant City has become very much a Celtic area, starting off with the establishment of Grace’s Irish Sports Bar in Candleriggs.
Plenty more Irish pubs have sprung up in that area, the demand seems unlimited to provide another Celtic area across from High Street where the Tollbooth and McCuhill’s are long established.
Much to the disgust of Glasgow City Council the pubs mentioned above are preparing to do massive business on Saturday.
The significance of winning #title55 and glorious weather are powerful attractions but the language of the City Council will ensure bigger crowds than ever celebrate Scotland’s Most Successful Club this weekend:
We want supporters of every team in Glasgow to be able to celebrate their successes but ask fans – including those visiting the city – to please avoid disruptive mass gatherings at Merchant City/Trongate and other public places.
“These events and others like them have consistently led to disorder – causing significant disruption for the local community and businesses.
“Damage to buildings and infrastructure robs the public purse of hundreds of thousands of pounds that would otherwise be spent on the essential services we all rely on.
Enjoy trophy day, but respect the city and your neighbours. Do not attend unsafe and disruptive gatherings in public places like Merchant City/Trongate.
That message and especially the tone will ensure that the city streets are full of celebrating fans throughout Saturday- while the Council panders to hate marchers bringing shame to the city.
Social media on Saturday will be awash with images of Celtic fans enjoying themselves, pictures, videos and drone footage will go viral.
And hopefully the same will happen again next Saturday, after the summer break Celtic will be back in action in August looking for more success as they raise the bar as Scotland’s Most Successful Club.
