When transfer news is thin on the ground there is always leaked, rumoured and concept kits for Celtic fans to discuss.
Earlier in the week Adidas released the home kit which has been given a far higher approval rating that last season’s ‘stained glass’ effort which seems destined to be remembered for the wrong reasons in kit history.
Recent away kits have tended to be black but the kit that reached Everything Celtic is distinctly yellow, a similar shade to the 2019/20 kit which is probably most closely associated with the Europa League win away to Lazio.
There are a few Adidas flashes across the kit, traditional stripes on the shoulders but the over riding impression is yellow, yellow, yellow.
Comparisons to a goalkeeping or Australian top are the most common complaints but no change kit will meet with universal approval, this one however is very different to recent away kits.

The biggest practical issue involves clashes with Hibs and St Mirren which has caused problems in recent years. A mainly yellow kit causes no conflict.
Away to Hibs Celtic have sometimes had to revert back to a kit from the previous season, in September 2022 the grey Adidas camouflage shirt seemed very similar to the St Mirren kit as Ange Postecoglou’s side lost the only meaningful match before the title was won wearing hoops away to Hearts in May.
Next season is the fifth and final one of Celtic’s five year deal with Adidas.
For years supporters had hoped that the club would bring in the German based clothing firm that dominates the market alongside Nike.
While the kits have all sold in massive volumes it is hard to pinpoint one outstanding kit that would tempt fans that are lukewarm to kits to decided that this one is a ‘must have’.
Over the last two seasons Celtic have brought out fourth kits that were never worn by the team, the sales dictate that that pattern will continue with the attention of supporters turning to who will be wearing the kit with the Transfer Window now open.
Looks a beauty.

Don’t tell me, the background pattern has been “inspired by the stained glass window” ?
😂

Unimaginative…pretty typical from adidas. When does their deal with Celtic end?

Fake. The real one will have vertical pin stripes.
