The comments of Brian Wilson in Celtic’s Interim Accounts for 2025 have been trashed across fan media.
Even the club’s media partners have highlighted the massive downturn in income from the club that they laud as one of the best run in Europe. The envy of all according to those legacy media partners.
Except Kairat Almaty, Midtjylland, Ferencvaros, Cluj, AEK Athens, Maribor and Malmo.
Plus dozens of other mid-ranking clubs that would never pay anyone £3.5m in one year. Least of all a CEO that engineered a Champions League exit to AEK Athens.
This week Bodo Glimt, Club Brugges, Olympiakos and Qarabag are involved in Champions League ties, none of them spent January undermining their manager.
Pafos, USG and Copenhagen narrowly missed out despite credible campaigns. They are already tooling up for a Champions League return next season.
WILSON DOUBLES DOWN ON DENIAL
Celtic have an interim manager, an interim Chairman, no Head of Football Operations and an empty suit draining £17,000 a week as CEO. Plus the Bologna booze bill.
In his statement with the Interim Accounts Wilson ignored everything meaningful.
He name checked a few issues without a single promise or commitment.
The summer 2024 Fan Survey. Mentioned.
Mistakes have been made. Mentioned.
Appointing Wilfried Nancy as manager. Mentioned.
There wasn’t a single forward thinking issue in Wilson’s message. It was deflection and denial of a level that Peter Mandelson, Wilson’s New Labour comrade would have approved of.
Three main areas were incredibly ignored
CELTIC AGM 2025
Apparently future generations will look back fondly on Peter Lawwell’s time at the club. What about those that attended the 2025 AGM to be met by a bad tempered Chairman determined to avoid responsibility and accountability?
The Interim Report made no mention of the aborted AGM. None of the written questions submitted by shareholders have been answered.
Wilson sat through the AGM on mute just like the club CEO. In over 20 years as a free loader the former Labour MP hasn’t publicly criticised anything in the way that Celtic is run
HEAD OF FOOTBALL OPERATIONS
During 2025 Celtic handed over running of the club to a guy whose CV highlight is managing Exeter City for 12 years.
On 5 January Paul Tisdale was gone. And a ready made excuse for recruitment failure in January 2026 was instantly created.
There is no mention of Tisdale in the Interim Accounts, no mention of a successor, no mention of a new structure that eliminates folk like Tisdale and Mark Lawwell inflicting years of damage costing £30m or more to rectify.
BARROWFIELD TRAINING COMPLEX
In the autumn Celtic finally opened the white elephant that is the Barrowfield Training Centre.
Outstanding facilities to create Lowland League players, facing Cumbernauld Colts, Caledonian Braves and Civil Service Strollers on plastic pitches.
Celtic’s B team doesn’t even have a grass pitch to play home matches on.
All the while the coaches of failure remain in place, doing exactly as they have for a decade or more- self preservation.
NOTE: Celtic haven’t held one of their quarterly Fan Forums since May 2025.

Of course Wilson delivered his trademark calls for Unity. Translated he wants fans to start buying things from the club again.
The piles of Adidas kit in warehouses and rock bottom prices in the Celtic Stores tell a story.
NOT ANOTHER PENNY is working and needs driven home until Wilson, Nicholson and Chris McKay join Nancy, Tisdale and Lawwell on the outside of the club.
Then the interim Chairman can return full time to his unhealthy obsession with the Scottish Government.

Unfortunately we already have one site falling for Wilsons crap calling for a end to not another penny. Keep the pressure on.
