Chairman Wilson scrambles to strike Green Brigade peace deal

Brian Wilson has spent his day flip-flopping around trying to avoid responsibility. The fans aren’t rolling over for tea and biscuits this time.

The Interim Chairman finally met up with the Celtic Fans Collective at 3pm today in a stalling exercise to prevent further exposure of the failings of the board and specifically Michael Nicholson.

As a former colleague of Peter Mandelson Wilson knows all of the dark arts to stall, delay and deflect. And deny.

His first call for unity was on January 5 followed by a month concentrating on transfer failings.

On February 5 ahead of a boycott of the Dundee Scottish Cup tie he went on Celtic TV to claim meetings were being held.

Today, February 18 he finally met with the Collective. Last week’s meeting was postponed in order to bring in members of the Celtic executive.

Media and Marketing suit Kevin McQuillan was added to the club team. Alongside Wilson, Head of Legal George Campbell and SLO John Paul Taylor.

WILSON TRIES TO MANIPULATE THE CELTIC SUPPORT- MANDELSON STYLE

The bottom line from today’s meeting is that the Green Brigade remain suspended from Celtic Park.

Or do they?

The meeting at Celtic Park finished at 5pm. At 8pm the Collective held a zoom meeting to update fans on how the meeting had gone.

Ten minutes into the meeting it emerged that Wilson was messaging the Green Brigade.

Tactics straight out of Mandelson’s New Labour Control Manual.

After the ‘horrors’ of the Falkirk match on October 29 it seems that the current excuse for the Green Brigade ban were words said to Mark Hargreaves in broad daylight, indoors at the Celtic AGM. Hargreaves is believed to be on annual leave- despite representing Celtic at the Europa League draw.

Fortunately Blair, Brown and the rest of that mob have been side-lined.

In 2026 people are well clued up and connected.

Wilson can’t pick groups or individuals off.

When the Collective asked Wilson and his chums what they had brought to the meeting the answer was vague.

Nothing could be decided by the interim Chairman.

Almost certainly Nicholson and Chris McKay were sitting in a nearby room waiting for feedback.

DEMONSTRATIONS PLANNED FOR STUTTGART MATCH

Part of that feedback is that there are a number of options in place for the Europa League match with Stuttgart on Thursday night.

Corporate Celtic seem rattled by that. Letting their own inadequacies being exposed across Europe.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Wilson reported straight to Nicholson once the Collective had left the building.

So far the Collective have enjoyed incredible success.

One Chairman has bolted, a dud manager and fake Head of Football Operations have left the club. The hologram of a CEO is keeping an even lower profile than usual.

Barely 20,000 Celtic fans attended a Scottish Cup tie against Dundee.

Kieran Tierney, Julian Araujo and Martin O’Neill have all called for a full restoration of the Celtic support.

Meanwhile Wilson has Lawrence Donegan name calling from California.

Time is up for Wilson and his fellow freeloaders.

Their inaction has galvanised the Celtic support.

All that is left for them is to minimise how despised and detested they are when they step down.

The Collective and social media will ensure that there is no whitewashing of the harm that they have caused the club.
