After five days/weeks/months of hiding Celtic decided to speak out about the issues engulfing the club- to The Scottish Sun.
Despite the digital age providing the club with multiple platforms to provide news in-house someone inside Celtic decided that the best way to communicate with an angry and concerned fan base was to speak to an old school publisher, The Scottish Sun.
A newspaper that has never been slow to put the boot into Celtic supporters and players, on Friday morning they carried some sensationalist coverage of problems that Bobo Balde has, clearly little has been learned since their coverage of Frank Bruno in 2003.
There are no publishers that are Celtic friendly but they do acknowledge the size of the Celtic support which is why there are a few reporters that are definately sympathetic to Scotland’s most successful team.
Someone, and it is clearly a very senior figure inside Celtic, with permission from the highest authorities at the club decided that the best way to respond to criticism of the boardroom was to trash Brendan Rodgers, piling the blame for Celtic’s problems on the manager that has won 11 of the 13 trophies that he has competed for and set up Neil Lennon for two/five more trophy wins.
It is well known that the Celtic boardroom is completely detached from ordinary fans but the decision to trash Rodgers in The Sun has astonished fans that are naturally sceptical of Peter Lawwell and Michael Nicholson.
ACSOM regular Yogi Hughes Junior falls into that camp, discovering Celtic’s communications strategy he didn’t hold back with his views over choosing an odious rag to trash and smear Brendan Rodgers..
In case you were wondering if lessons had been learned. If there was to be accountability, an apology or an explanation. Here’s your ‘communication’ from the board.
They’re briefing against the manager, & using the most odious rag to do so.

As a deflection exercise the Celtic source spilling the beans to The Sun was only slightly less of an own goal that Prince Andrew discussing Pizza Express and his sweaty problems with Emily Maitlis.
There were so many highlights to pick from, one of which was Roger Hannah being selected ahead of the recognised Celtic messengers. Hannah is most certainly not Celtic minded, you don’t get to write Archie Knox’s autobiography if you aren’t the staunchest.
A real classic from the source was
On and off the record discussions are creating division throughout the club.
Said the un-named source to a publisher that is no friend of Celtic.
That falls neatly alongside the claim by the source that
Senior figures inside the club believe Rodgers is engineering his exit.
Many fans believe that senior figures at the club have been trying to engineer Rodgers’ exit ever since Dermot Desmond open talks to bring in the former Leicester boss to replace Ange Postecoglou.
And so the source went on, Rodgers has performed a u-turn on the undefined strategy and has become the first Celtic manager to ever question the brilliance of the boardroom leaders who are afraid to explain what their cunning plan is to the entitled customers that have rallied behind the Green Brigade statement.
What happens next is the interesting bit.
Will Nicholson order the mole to be hunted down and drummed out the club or will he continue to roll out the red carpet for the sun to get preferential treatment inside Celtic Park to every fan media outlet.
It is hard to see Rodgers sitting down to a media conference on Friday where he will be questioned by a reporter from The Sun, the newspaper that a senior figure inside Celtic decided to use to trash the current manager.
This isn’t quite on the scale of Andy Windsor and Emily Maitlis but the fool that thought it was a wizard idea to trash the manager to The Sun clearly has no grasp of the issues that they are dealing with.
The fans will no longer be kidded by a self-interested board put in place by an absentee landlord, Brendan has the fans backing after the calamity of the past two transfer windows, support fir the manager only increases day by day, “success to brendan” 🍀

“He’s the only manager in the club’s history who has repeatedly questioned things.”
How bad does this sound? How dare he or any manager question things and attempt to push the club forward, that’s ground for automatic dismissal right there 🤦🏻♂️

It started a few days ago John. CQN, the boards mouthpiece, blaming Rogers for ‘failing’ to sign a striker.

Exactly John … that’s how out of touch this board is that they use this rag for their propaganda

The only problem inside the club is the hierarchy.. They can try and deflect away from that as much as they want.. This disaster is on them… However, things need to change on the pitch too, Rodgers needs a new shape….

They’re finished and acting like desperate men
