Yanks Go Home? Ibrox Takeover Consortium posted AWOL

On Tuesday afternoon STV and the Daily Record were invited over to Ibrox to film the Three Wise Men enjoying a causal walk around the decaying old stadium, inspecting their new manner as the American consortium took another significant step towards regime change.

Neither STV or the Record were able to muster a single question, it seems that their camera operators were on mute while their newshounds stuck to trawling through their favourite message boards. Except for Raman trailing round like a lost puppy.

All of the other legacy media outlets shared the good news as Andrew Cavenagh, Paraag Marathe and Gretar Steinsson took in the area outside of the stadium, noting the lack of maintenance with barely any activity going on as decades of neglect take root.

The Record has cranked up their coverage on the back of Tuesday’s walkabout, every snippet of news from Leeds United has been shoe-horned into even more feel-good tales for their fast disappearing Army of Readers, across the city Celtic have just won #title55 with only Aberdeen able to prevent a sixth treble in nine seasons for Scotland’s Most Successful Club.

The visit of the Three Wise Men came five days before the O** F*** match that legacy media outlets crave over, clearly the incoming owners would be sitting in the Directors Box at Ibrox taking in the pageantry of a visit from Celtic.

Apparently not.

Cavenagh was pictured at Celtic Park in March but going on for 8.30pm on matchday the Record and STV have yet to carry any gushing stories of how much the lads from the 49GERS enjoyed the 1-1 draw at Ibrox this afternoon.

The highly reliable Willie Vass has uploaded 203 pictures from today’s match but there is no sign of Cavenagh and his consortium buddies sitting at the match.

US based director Alistair Johnston, the talentless version, was in the Directors Box, Paddy Stewart was on his mobile phone, Douglas and Graeme Park were there, Neil Warnock even turned up to advertise his availability but there was no sign of Cavenagh, Marathe orSteinsson even though they were keen to promote Tuesday’s publicity shoot alongside the mute media.

Scoopmeister Keith Jackson revealed in his WORLD EXCLUSIVE that the initial discussions had started in October 2024, he also claimed on February 19 that takeover talks were at an advanced stage.

Genuinely nothing has moved forward since other than fawning media outlets claiming progress with just two words- productive and conversations to go on. That statement was issued to Sky Sports, it didn’t appear on any club productions.

There are now just three matches left for Barry Ferguson to negotiate his way through, on May 17 the season gets rolled up and tucked away. Pre season training should start in June with July 22/23 and 29/30 the dates of the Champions League second round qualifiers.

Time is running out for the new owners with their new management team and fresh approach to get their plans in place to ensure a place in the Champions League.

Having applauded their way through Craig Whyte, Charles Green and Dave King without raising a descenting voice the legacy media has been joined by an obedient fan media network covering the latest regime change and Revolution.

All the signs suggest that Cavenagh and the 49GERS have been used as a very useful distraction during the desperately needed Season Ticket Renewal campaign.
