Luis Palma is expected to become Celtic’s first signing of Transfer Deadline week.
The winger said his farewells to ARIS Thessalonika at the weekend and should be announced as a Celtic player at some stage today.
Palma moved from Honduras to ARIS in January 2022 and has produced impressive scoring ans assist number during 18 months in Europe.
Whether anyone inside Celtic likes it or not Palma is going to be compared to Jota even though the early signs under Brendan Rodgers are that Celtic will be playing in a fairly different style.

Since Celtic’s first interest in Vasilas Barkas Chorianopoulos has been a very reliable source of news for all things Greek.
At the turn of the year he was providing accurate updates on Giorgos Giakoumakis leading to his move to Atlanta in the MLS.
After Stephen McGowan of the Daily Mail broke the news of Celtic’s interest in Palma on Thursday night Chorianopoulos has picked up on it at the Greek end.
Palma missed training on Friday as his move to Celtic was stepped up, if he is training at Lennoxtown tomorrow there is every chance that he will be involved in the squad for Ibrox on Sunday.
