Fabrizio Romano expects Jota’s move to Al Ittihad to be completed in the coming days with the documents and contracts all in place.
A reported salary of £10m tax free per year tends to make negotiations fairly straightforward- and impossible for Celtic to put in a counter offer against.
After two seasons in Scotland it seems inevitable that Jota has signed off with a goal in the Final of the Scottish Cup to complete the domestic treble.

Before the Jota deal even surfaced it was widely reported that Brendan Rodgers would be handed the biggest transfer budget in Celtic’s history.
Last summer Ange Postecoglou spent around £20m on Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alexandro Bernabei and Sead Haksabanovic on the back of securing Champions League football.
Odin Thiago Holm from Valerenga and Marco Tilio from Melbourne City have already been signed but with the SPFL starting in five weeks time expectations are high among fans that some significant signings are on the way to Celtic.
