Celtic’s rumoured Dublin friendly against Spurs?

Celtic fans may be in for an early reunion with Ange Postecoglou with a friendly match rumoured for Dublin on Saturday July 29.

Earlier this week Celtic announced that they had been forced to cancel their match in South Korea on July 26 against Wolves which leaves a gap between July 22 and August 1 in Brendan Rodgers pre-season schedule.

There had been a suggestion earlier in the week that Dublin could stage the Wolves match with a date change but this morning another possible fixture appeared online.

Spurs have got matches in Australia (July 18) , Thailand (July 23) and Singapore (July 26) before they host Shakhtar Donetsk on August 6.

Like Celtic there is a gap there that could see the two clubs face off at the Aviva Stadium which is gearing up for a busy month in August.

With Postecoglou diplomatically handling his exit from Celtic while delivering a treble a match in Dublin against the hoops would be the perfect handover as he prepares his new club for the demands and expectations of the EPL.
