Celtic had an early start to their final day in Quinta do Lago with the friendly match against Portimonense brought forward from 11am to a 10am kick-off.
Brendan Rodgers’ squad flew out to Faro last Sunday and have been undergoing intensive work ahead of their opening competitive match when they take o Ross County on August 5.
After a 0-0 draw against Portimonense on Wednesday the goals were flying in this morning with a 4-1 victory for the hoops.
Details were thin on the ground from the Celtic Twitter feed who didn’t publish team-lines, almost certainly two different sides would have been played in each half.
Whether any footage is shown from the match remains to be seen but both matches in Japan, on Wednesday and Saturday will be shown live with late morning kick-off times.

Abada increased the lead before Portimonense pulled a goal back but Ben Summers restored Celtic’s two goal lead before the half-time break. Apart from the scorers Alexandro Bernabei was the only other player mentioned during Celtic’s Twitter updates. After the break Oh Hyeon-gyu scored the only goal of the second half to give Celtic a 4-1 victory.
