Chris Sutton has welcomed Brendan Rodgers back to Celtic as manager.
Less than two weeks after Ange Postecoglou left for Spurs the hoops have come up with a new manager of similar calibre- with an even better strike rate from his first stint.
Over the last fortnight there has been a massive sea-change in opinion as the reality of bringing in a new manager emerged.
Familiar names like Davie Moyes and Enzo Maresco never generated much excitement with the curious case of Kjetil Knutsen at Bodo Glimt the only candidate to get a decent level of backing.
When Dermot Desmond gets involved he is risk aversive, he cut to the chase, teed up a meeting in Mallorca for Michael Nicholson and Chris McKay which set the wheels in motion for Monday’s announcement.
Good luck to Brendan Rodgers going back to Celtic. He left previously under a cloud but no doubting his ability as a coach and his record last time round was phenomenal. It’s important regardless of how Celtic fans felt with his previous departure that everyone gets behind him🍀

Sutton will be back for a ringside seat at next season’s action, joining Sky Sports where he will be heavily involved in coverage of Scottish football.
Taking Kris Boyd to task will be box office, if Rodgers picks up on the successes that he enjoyed first time around Sky Sports will finally have put together a watchable package for Celtic fans.
