I think to be fair to Gustaf, to go and play would be important for him. He and I have spoken on this here. It’s been a difficult move for him but I have to say he’s been absolutely brilliant – every day in training.
I have developed a lot and become a better player. I have brought a lot with me. I’m looking forward to the future and I think I’ll take a lot from Celtic to the next team I join.
Joseph’s tweet does contain some interesting detail about wages, it seems that a standard wage with Lecce is significantly lower than the terms that Lagerbielke is on with Celtic.
With a five year contract Lagerbielke’s finances are pretty secure but his prospects of seeing much football this season at Celtic look bleak.
If Celtic, as seems likely, agree to a loan deal it creates numerous questions about the scattergun approach to recruitment during the summer.
