Are Celtic working against Wilfried Nancy from within?

The social media team at Celtic appears to have given up on Wilfried Nancy.

Those involved in social media know exactly what the party line is, they never deviate from club policy. No rogue elements get close to accessing the Celtic media account.

After going on mute on Monday Celtic returned to Twitter yesterday. They transmitted an unending picture of misery.

It took the club more than 18 hours to share the You Tube coverage from Tuesday’s pre-match media conference.

Of course everything on social media is met with negativity and abuse. The images with a red line through now includes Nancy. Not just Peter Lawwell, Michael Nicholson, Chris McKay and Peter Dermot Desmond. The men that have allowed the Paul Tisdale takeover..

SELECTIVE IMAGES

Every single image selected from training at Lennoxtown on Tuesday showed unhappy players, there were no exceptions.

Celtic take their images from SNS, they have hundreds to select from. If you want a smile you can find it, if you want a frown that is easily found as well.

Communication at Celtic is under the control of Iain Jamieson. Someone with the same personality as Nicholson and equally as useless.

Away from Celtic Nicholson and Jamieson wouldn’t get 50% of their current salaries. Celtic does far more for them than they give back.

Having taken Monday off away from social media Celtic decided not to upset fans any further.

There were no obscure birthday messages. Nothing on exciting Adidas launches, no £245 jackets for the trendiest of fans to strut around in.

SERVED UP TO THE MEDIA

Nancy was served up for a media conference with broadcasters. He was soon making his situation even worse. Following Sunday that is some achievement.

He has nothing to prove! Every manager has something to prove. Martin O’Neill, Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou had something to prove. That helped drive them to success.

With Jamieson by his side but out of camera shot Nancy started to dig. And dig deeper.

The invited audience were told that Celtic played well during the defeats from Hearts, Roma and St Mirren.

No-one challenged that assessment from Nancy.

And on he went. On and one. At times against St Mirren Celtic apparently played with a back four and a back five.

No fan believes what he is saying.

After that performance Nancy went to speak to daily newspapers. Yes, the Daily Record, the Sun and a few others. The club’s most trusted partners. Kept in the loop and almost never critical of Dermot Desmond, the club Chairman and CEO.

Among the gems he handed out he discussed his teenage years. He apparently knows Presidents and prisoners.

Celtic fans couldn’t care less. Why was Reo Hatate marking Marcus Fraser at a corner? Why was Liam Scales operating as awing-back? And dozens more mysteries from Sunday. Not a word.

Every picture selected from the Lennoxtown gallery shows miserable looking players. Maeda, Johnny Kenny, Kasper Schmeichel, Reo Hatate and more.

And then there was the image selected for the B team fixture at Gretna last night, surprisingly the B team managed to win 5-4!

Goalkeeper Corey Shaw seems to sum up the mood inside Celtic.

Celtic even posted the Lawwell resignation statement on Twitter, allowing fans to pile in, returning their contempt for the outgoing Chairman.
