Celtic social media has led the battle against the mainstream narrative from Sunday’s League Cup semi-final at Hampden.
If you had to rely on BBC Scotland, the Daily Record, Radio Clyde and other legacy outlets you’d easily conclude that Celtic got away with daylight robbery at the National Stadium.
Not the case. Absolutely not. Quite the reverse.
Thanks to a number of social media accounts and led by the outstanding Twitter/X account that is Lint the evidence is out there.
It is just the case that BBC Scotland, Premier Sports, Sky Sports and the usual outlets have a very clear agenda to follow. Today the Record decided to share Bobby Madden’s thoughts on the key decisions. Now I wonder what conclusions he has come to…
THREE OF A KIND
At the centre of it all is the match officials. Apparently Nick Walsh, Steven McLean and Andrew Dallas denied natural justice at Hampden.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
For the benefit of the hard of thinking Walsh is Depute Head Teacher as Boclair Academy in Bearsden. The partner school for the next generation of Ibrox superstars.
McLean refereed the 2015 Celtic v Inverness Caley Thistle Scottish Cup semi-final. The Josh Meekings match. His brother Brian played for Rangers and wrongly for Northern Ireland.
Dallas owes his entire refereeing career to his Dad. Hugh was sacked by the SFA in 2010 after sending anti-Catholic emails at the time of the Papal visit to Scotland.
Taking their lead from the howling Ibrox message boards the mainstream happily buys in to their conspiracies.
They stop just short of the natural conclusion.
THE RESISTANCE
Fortunately Celtic fans have formed a ‘resistance movement’.
The evidence is all out there. Three angles were shown on Derek Cornelius’ attack on Johnny Kenny.
BBC Scotland won’t go near it.
The VAR image on the Raskin own goal is passed off as gospel!
It is a manual image. There is a margin for error. Officials can conjure up the outcome they require. No questions need asked about what McLean and Dallas were looking for. They delivered.
These days EVERY incident can be replayed and examined. Late on Monday night a penalty incident involving Reo Hatate surfaced. Lint was soon on it. An individual social media account showing up the agenda of Premier Sports and BBC Scotland.
Hatate controls the ball, Rangers player takes him out.
No penalty awarded.

THE EXAMPLES PILE UP
Overnight we have the latest incident that escaped Premier Sports and BBC Scotland on Sunday. Hatate wiped out by Mikey Moore preparing to take control of the ball less than 10 yards from goal. There wasn’t even a pause for one of the false VAR reviews. No chance of that with Butland looking to set up an attack, chasing the equaliser.

This came shortly after VAR disallowed Raskin’s own goal. Minimal time was spent reviewing it. Cornelius knew what he was doing, Kenny was almost stationary as the defender flew in on his ankles. That reprieve encouraged his team-mates to do likewise. Thelmo Aasgaard took it too far, Walsh had no option for his assault on Tony Ralston.

Home made, manual VAR. McLean and Walsh decide when the ball leaves Ben Nygren’s foot, they select the angle they want to use. They apply thick felt tip pen lines to get their decision. A few minutes later Premier Sports get the image.
This week proper VAR will be in use in all three UEFA competitions. 3-D automated images. In January Celtic were on the wrong end of three first half decisions against YB Bern. It was frustrating, annoying but there was an acceptance that the right decisions were made. Not so on Sunday.

The technology is out there. The SFA prefer to go on the flawed judgement of McLean and Dallas. They have made mistakes this season.

Just the sort of issues that the mainstream won’t go near. Usually Hatate is the target of Diomande. Last season he managed to get two suspensions in the Europa League. Non Scottish referees.

CELTIC’S OWN REACTION
While the Ibrox club demand meetings and answers while pointing at Willie Collum and Walsh, Celtic, as ever sit in silence.
If Sunday’s match had been refereed by UEFA officials they would have been leading 2-0 and playing against 10 men by the time Trusty was booked.
At last years AGM Michael Nicholson was asked about the dubious VAR line used to disallow a ‘goal’ from Kyogo Furuhashi in the September Glasgow Derby.
As ever the Celtic CEO nodded and mumbled, he was happy with the evidence used. Dallas was on VAR duty that day as well. His family has some history.
While the mainstream pander to the extremes of Ibrox fan and social media the truth is out there.
Celtic fan media comes up with examples from every match. The flaws of Scottish refereeing are largely down to the silent support offered by the Celtic board.
Typically, Don Robertson will referee his fourth Celtic match of the season on Sunday when Kilmarnock visit. In his last match, at home to Hibs he produced the 16-1 foul count. Clearly the quiet lobbying of Celtic behind the scenes is being laughed back at them by the SFA.

I tuned into the daily Record hotline on Sunday after the result to see theRangers scoops reactions to the defeat . Inaction was at home looking sad , down and half cooked with the contents of liquid in a glass he was slurping .
As for wee Scotty …I’d like to say he looked totally ‘ deflated ‘ ,but I can’t , as that would be a monumental lie .
No , deflated would most definitely be the wrong word there ! It is always a joy to behold whenever the SMSM scoops are suffering after a theRangers defeat from Celtic .
