A millennial Ibrox fans has taken to Twitter to share some of the issues which has given him a lifetime of misery.
It really has been a generation of woe for those born with a superiority complex as they take in the reality of this century as Celtic push further and further clear as they build on success after success.
Until 2016 Celtic had won three trebles over a 49 year span, since then the club formed in 188 has celebrated five trebles as they enjoy the greatest period of domination that Scottish football has ever witnessed.
Bar the freakish conditions of Lockdown there has been no public title wins for Ryan to celebrate.
With Celtic now on 118 trophy wins there is a growing focus on their next trophy win which is likely to take them past the combined trophy counts of both clubs from Ibrox.
Recently there has been a growing emphasis but on the successes of Al Ahly, recently the claims of the Egyptian side have been trivialised but with Celtic closing in on trophy 120 Al Ahly can provide comfort to bears who witness the hoops taking away one of their last defences.
Celtic’s dominance was cranked up in 2016 with the arrival of Brendan Rodgers, the Irishman delivered the club’s 100th trophy with a 3-0 League Cup win over Aberdeen in December 2016 following two semi-final defeats at Hampden under Ronny Deila.
Neil Lennon and Ange Postecoglou have also added trebles with James Forrest and Callum McGregor now having medal collections that are up amongst the greats of the club like Billy McNeill and Bobby Lennox.
My Grandad witnessed us win the 1972 Cup Winners Cup.
My Dad witnessed 9 in a row.
I witnessed – Michael Beale, Philipe Clement, Graham Murty, Pedro Caixinha, James Sands, Bongani Zungu, Jon McLaughlin, the 7-1 defeat to Liverpool, 2 European final losses and us soo 10iar.

Ryan has had virtually nothing to celebrate as a consequence of the successes that his grandfather enjoyed under Dave Murray, what Ryan tells his own grandchildren is going to be a very different story.
Backed initially by the unlimited overdraft offered by the Bank of Scotland Murray could do no wrong as he brought unprecedented success to Rangers with many of the biggest names in England and Europe attracted by the imaginative remuneration schemes on offer.
Within a few weeks in 2000 Ronald de Boer and Tore Andre Flo left Barcelona and Chelsea to join Rangers with barely a question raised about the economics of those deals.
The inevitable happened in 2012, a Tribute Act was formed with Kevin Kyle and Ian Black replacing Steven Naismith and Steve Davis, fortunately no other club was interested in Lee Wallace or Lee McCulloch allowing Ryan to think that he was still watching the same club.
Celtic’s domination has resumed post Lockdown, over the next few months Ryan may have to face up to the fact that the hoops have surpassed the trophy total of both of his clubs with #title55 a very real prospect in springtime.
unfortunately

you missed the bit about Old Rangers being the only Club that voted in favour of the New Rangers [the one you support now] being allowed to join the SPL … 2 Rangers existing at the same time was truly memorable 🙂 pic.twitter.com/Y2OUXeIbZL

You witnessed your club dying son
You can thank your grandad and dad for standing and watching the club dying without doing anything
You can also thank them for pushing your dead club to overspend and cheat to beat us at all costs

Your grandad & dad supported a different club, one that cheated throughout the late 90s & 00s and stopped various other clubs cashing in on european football by using EBTs to sign players they couldn’t otherwise afford. You support a tribute act that’s heading the same way.
