Late Night Ode to Despair- Well Known Member WATP shares the big fear on Follow Follow

A few days before facing Celtic Follow Follow is usually overflowing with buoyant bears- high on Battle Fever and Deludemol as they rally behind the latest Revolution! to have captured their wallets.

Nicky Raskin, Ben Davies, John Lundstram, Ryan Jack and Joey Barton have rallied the troops into believing that the tide is turning with Selik finally about to be turned over and put in their place, just as Mister King had suggested.

At the start of April the Gullible & Deluded were discussing their title winning celebrations after the misery of watching another Celtic treble a year earlier with Ange Postecoglou delivering more in one season than their Tribute Act had mustered in a dozen.

Under Ange Celtic lifted three trophies between February and June of 2023.

It is fair to say that since Phil Clement fist pumped his way around Ibrox celebrating a moral victory some doubts have crept in about A Proper Football Manager.

That bizarre reaction was followed up by taking one point from six away to Ross County and Dundee to force a return to reality.

The final painful act was watching Super Jack Butland present Adam Idah with the winning goal at the Scottish Cup Final as Celtic lifted the 118th trophy of their unbroken history, dating back to 1888.

Ibrox

Usually the close season is filled by moonbeams and spin but this year it has been low key.

Basically Clement gave the game away during the pre-season trip to Holland when he explained that he didn’t have a pot.

That interview was conducted without a media minder on his shoulder, shifting Connor Goldson and Sam Lammers for undisclosed fees plus loan deals for Ben Davies and Jose Cifuentes leaves the clear out half finished.

Todd Cantwell and Ianis Hagi have been raised to legendary playing status as their employer tries to force them out the door onto lower pay deals but neither player appears to be going with the script.

Clement has been stuck with the core of losers that he embarrassingly celebrated a win over St Johnstone with by doing the Bouncy in front of 300 Onion Bears who had earlier assaulted a 51-year-old woman with a drum.

With John Beaton and Andrew Dallas on duty on Sunday there is always the chance of a shock but if the international break starts with the Clement Revolution five points behind Celtic in mid-table a few more bears might be sharing their fears just like WATP in last night’s epic confession.

Love that their support is falling apart even faster than their stadium. I also love the description of WATP as a “Well-known member”. That’s just one of the ways I might describe him (and the rest of cretins on there) myself.
