Inside Ibrox- incredible new video emerges of building/bomb site!

As if Tuesday wasn’t bad enough for John Caveat Bennett a video clip emerged showing the shocking state of the Copland Road Stand at Ibrox.

Just 38,000 fans turned up at Hampden last night to watch Phil Clement’s side crash out of the Champions League with the defeat costing the club the best part of £50m.

A run of Sunday matches are now guaranteed, almost certainly at Hampden with Ibrox nowhere near being ready for the home match against Hibs on September 28.

Reaching the Champions League would have provided a massive injection of funds to finally get the building work completed but with a manager demanding transfer funds and crowds tumbling Bennet is staring into a perfect storm.

As last night’s result was being digested there was a natural argument that if it had been played at Ibrox things would have worked out differently, it is a question that can never be answered but it looks increasingly like the bears will be booing at Hampden for months to come.

Work apparently started on installing 600 extra seats on May 14 but after social media speculation the club admitted on June 20 that Ibrox wouldn’t be ready for the start of the season, much like Clement’s first team squad.

Vague excuses have been sent out to media messengers from rogue Asian suppliers, shipping delays and one still un-named employee sacked for letting the project get out of control.

On August 30 Exective Chairman John Bennett produced the most unconvincing 20 minute interview ever as he emphasised what a staunch fan he is but offered little in terms of detail beyond waiting on vessels to arrive in the second and third weeks of August.

Work seems to have been abandoned at Ibrox, the video clips that have emerged rarely show more than a handful of workers with the Copland Crane recently removed.

There is little sign of any work having been completed with the area at the front of the back section looking abandoned.

Halfway through August and a four match sequence at Ibrox there are expectations of further news from the club’s Executive Chairman.

An October return looks very optimistic, in that case Hampden will be hosting Europa League matches into January as the losses pile up with whoever is managing the club making noises for January transfer funds.

That interview clip just needs the Benny Hill music in the background. Showing my age there, I know (younger readers may need to Google that).

Maybe the construction site of the crumbling Ibroxland stadium closed early because of the CL match at Hampden ,to accommodate the fan workers ? ( Try not to mention the half empty ‘Celtic end ‘ )! Obviously there will be only one topic of conversation this morning from the same workers after theRangers crashed out of the competition …why did Jefte wear so much gel on his hair , just to play football ?

I wonder if the builders will get paid ? Seems like an opportunity to go bust and again walk away from their creditors.
