‘I’m sick fed up’ ‘Clement is trying to protect people’ ‘Much weaker than last season’ – Kris Boyd launches incredible attack on the Belgian Beale

After the humiliation of Sky Sports News mocking him on their Boydcam it seems that Kris Boyd has taken his anger out on Phil Clement.

While BBC Scotland fielded a full team of apologists on Tuesday night to cover the defeat from Dinamo Kiev Boyd appears to be sickened by events at his old club.

Playing alongwith Chris Sutton for some matey banter only goes so far, deep down Boyd knows that he is a laughing stock as he provides almost daily coverage of the latest doomed Revolution! from Ibrox.

Outside of BBC Scotland it is hard to spin Robin Propper and Vaclav Cerny as a bright new future while James Tavernier, John Souttar, Tom Lawrence, Cyriel Dessers and Ross McCausland continue to drain wages from Charles Green’s Tribute Act.

Off-mic Derek Ferguson, Allan McGregor and Billy Dodds may have very different views to those broadcast but sickened by the whole set up Boyd lets rip in The Sun with Clement the target for his anger:

I’m sorry, I’m still sick fed up with the noises coming from Rangers these days. It’s become an environment of excuses and I’m not having it.

Losing Jefte five minutes into the second-half against Dynamo Kyiv was a massive moment, sure it was. And it definitely shouldn’t have been a second yellow!

But let’s not be kidded, Philippe Clement is talking nonsense when he says Rangers were the better team up until that point.

Arguably their best period of the game came when they were down to ten men.

Overall, I don’t think there were many Rangers fans who left the stadium the other night who felt they were by far the better team.

Later he adds:

Clement’s side are never in full control of any game of football and hearing his post-match comments left me shaking my head.

He talks about the improvement that’s been made since he took over but I just don’t see it.

Boyd adds:

For me, Rangers are much WEAKER then they were at the end of last season which is quite staggering.I mean, show me a player who has improved at Rangers recently? There isn’t one. I just look at the whole situation there and don’t see things getting better any time soon.

In fact, mark my words. It won’t be long before the supporters turn on the board and point the finger of blame at them for the way it’s all going. These are Rangers fans who have put in a lot of money, sure, but something is going to have to give.

Clement talks about a project, but do me a favour.

No Rangers manager has ever been allowed the time for that and he isn’t going to be the first.

I’ve got to say, I’ve been disappointed with what’s been coming out of Clement’s mouth lately.

Finally he wades in with:

Maybe Clement is trying to protect people behind the scenes with the way he’s talking but I don’t like what I’m hearing from the Rangers manager right now.

He’s not sounding like the guy who first took charge and I’d love to know why. I talked about this a few weeks ago when I said I feared he was about to quit.

He then signed a new contract but that didn’t change anything in my eyes, not in the grand scheme of things. That was done purely for perception and only the easily-influenced bought it.

For me, the vast majority of supporters can see through that now and they’re utterly fed up.

There were only 39,000 fans at Hampden the other night and that tells me there is a large number disillusioned with the whole thing.

Wait and see what the crowd is this weekend because it could be a lot less.

Ahead of the April Glasgow Derby Boyd went for a drive around Glasgow with Clement as he drooled over the brilliance of a Proper Football Manager.

Boyd is over qualified for the role of Village Idiot on Sky Sports News but it seems that the defeat at Hampden and the mocking of his fellow pundits has pushed him into releasing the truth as he dreads a visit to Celtic Park in just over two weeks time.

Clement’s first team coach Alex Rae is a very close friend of Boyd.
