Connor Barron ready to sort out Callum McGregor!

Connor Barron is apparently ready to sort out Callum McGregor in Sunday’s Glasgow Derby.

It is a familiar situation for the Celtic skipper who has also heard the same claims being made about Todd Cantwell and Nicky Raskin while John Lundstram and Ryan Jack bailed out during the summer.

Barron has apparently been stamping his authority all over the park since joining the Clement Revolution! despite being turfed out of the Champions League at the first hurdle soon after being the only team to fail to beat Hearts this season.

With cash tight Barron was happy to take on Lundstram’s weekly wage as his monthly salary accompanied by the usual pre-season hype which stretches back to Joey Barton.

The former Strangeways Prison in-mate fronted the Warburton Revolution! in the summer of 2016, promised to sort out Scott Brown and Brendan Rodgers but the only sighting of the ex-Burnley ace after a six goal thriller against Celtic was removing his coffee machine from Murray Park.

Greg Docherty, Graham Dorrans and various others were gives the same billing while Brown scooped up four trebles- more honours than the combined tally of Barton, Docherty, Dorrans, Cantwell, James Tavernier and Connor Goldson.

Even Gordon Duncan was taken aback by the claims of Justin, after starting five matches for the 2012 Tribute Act the Scotland u-21 midfielder is already carrying the hopes of a support that has learned nothing from the days of Barton and Warburton’s magic hat.

Barron managed to start 48 SPFL matches for Aberdeen before running down his contract and moving to Ibrox as a free agent.

A Tribunal fee has yet to be arranged for the transfer but with eight wins from eight matches the chunky midfielder is hardly being missed at Pittodrie, if Aberdeen win away to Ross County on Saturday they will go five points ahead of Barton’s current club ahead of Sunday’s Derby fixture.

Over at Murray Park the Fire Sale is getting more and more desperate as players and agents sit tight for pay-offs, at sometime next week one of the media messengers will publish the claim that a mystery club had a seven figure bid rejected for Barron.

That story will be as credible as the Malik Tillman sell on clause which was copied and pasted without questioning.

What was it Callum said at the weekend presser : oh yes , ” talk is cheap ” ? That video reminds me of the incomparably brilliant Jackie Gleason playing Minnesota Fats being challenged at pool playing , saying : ” big John ..do you think this BOY is a hustler ” , then grins and grins at the thought . By the way .. Gleason was known as ‘ The Great One to his peers …
