‘Can we sue Beale’ ‘Could watch that on repeat all night’ ‘Take your medicine’ Fans pile on to David Edgar’s ARIS misery

Ibrox social media was utterly seething following the 2-1 defeat to ARIS Limassol, the Cypriot minnows playing just their second season in European football.

With ARIS sitting in fifth place in the Cypriot League they have an even lower UEFA ranking that Progres Niederkorn who recorded a famous aggregate victory over Pedro Caixinha’s side in 2017.

James Tavernier, a Hall of Famer, played in both defeats.

With Micky Beale and his coaching team sent packing on Sunday night the stage was set for a True Blue Dreamteam of Steve Davis and Alex Rae to restore some pride with the application of core principals.

Playing for the jersey, giving 100% commitment and going the extra mile would be demanded by the new management team but the first flaw came in his team selection.

Based on serial losers and Beale’s star signings of Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers things started to go wrong in the ninth minute when the Cypriot upstarts took the lead from a corner.

At half-time Davis made no substitutions, perhaps not wanting to upset any of his playing pals with ARIS going 2-1 up in the 59th minute.

Abdallah Sima pulled a goal back in the 70th minute but it was little consolation for Edgar as he shared his pain with Heart & Hand followers in his post match video.

Over the last three years Edgar has bee non the inside of the Ibrox media bubble, invited to media conferences, watching lockdown matches and becoming a full-on messenger to keep the bears informed about what is going on inside their cherished Tribute Act.

Trashing mainstream transfer stories while teasing with their own tales Heart & Hand has built up a significant following, boosted by a short lived campaign against them from the Daily Record.

Since the turn of the year Edgar has been cheering every move from Beale, hailing the coaching genius and subscribing fully to the Brains Behind Gerrard delusion.

All of that blind optimism has come to a predictable conclusion, in the coming days Ibrox Fan Media outlets have to decide whether to stay on-message with the club or to retain street credibility by calling out the multiple failings of the board and smooth talking CEO James Bisgrove.
