The Michael Beale rumour grows and spreads

After five and a half days of keyboard anger Ibrox fans have been hanging onto a rumour that Micky Beale has resigned as their glorious leader.

Two weeks ago the former QPR boss was fresh from masterminding a 2-0 win over Ross County and finking about the acclaim he’d get for beating PSV Eindhoven and Celtic. A big week he predicted.

Since bolting down the tunnel following the 1-0 defeat from Celtic Beale has been keeping a very low profile as social media, except Celtic fans, have screamed for his sacking.

Nothing came out of Ibrox but an article by Chris Jack in the on-message Rangers Review made it very clear that Beale had been backed to the hilt and rubbished his claim about the extent of the transfer fees paid for his flops.

Accompanying that report it emerged that the club is about to ‘review’ their scouting network with the old school charms of John Brown being replaced by some analytic geeks.

Various claims have been made today based on Beale’s social media activity as the Gullible & Deluded look for signs that he is walking away from the remaining three years of his contract.

That is wishful thinking, even with the toxic reaction to the defeat from Celtic, Beale won’t be resigning when he knows his future prospects are coaching under-5 squads in the bowels of some English academy.

Gary Keown of the Daily Mail is expected to be highly critical of Beale in his Sunday column.
