Has a low profile Wolves account hit the Celtic transfer bullseye?

At first glance it looks like just another Twitter account publishing the sort of news that expectant Celtic fans are looking for.

They click on, get excited, feel good then decide to double check the source and realise that the account has been on the go for five minutes, maybe five days and with less than 100 followers.

Everything Wolves looks just like one of those accounts, with 54 followers and following 41 accounts since opening in January this year it hasn’t convinced many that it’s self declared ITK status has been earned.

And yet it isn’t an attention seeking account, obviously going by results. It has however, clearly followed Wolves transfer issues closely this year with most of the activity outgoing.

Daniel Podence was first linked with Celtic on Monday with a £12m price-tag, now with a 40% price cut the deal might start to be falling into Celtic territory as Brendan Rodgers looks for a Jota replacement.

In an age when the Player Trading Model appears to have become central to everything spending big on a player that will be 28 goes against the grain but every football model has to have scope for exceptions.

Perhaps spending bigger on a more experienced player will accelerate the development of Odin Thiago Holm, Maik Nawrocki or Yang Hyun jun?

If that is the case the team and the Balance Sheet improves which in turn provides more funds for the Player Trading Model.

Not every signing needs to be done with one eye on the re-sell value, to be under 24 with ambitions towards playing in the EPL.

Podence has already done that, if his agent has done his job well with three years of EPL earnings the winger should be fairly secure.

Celtic might just be an option that appeals, he should be aware that Jota seemed to enjoy himself, fed off the adulation of 60,000 home fans while sampling Champions League nights and winning domestic honours.

It isn’t the worst scenario out there, football wise it compares favourably, maybe Everything Wolves are one step ahead on this transfer tale.
