Celtic’s B team are in action against Alloa today with the match being shown live on You Tube.
The young hoops will start their Lowland League campaign next Saturday away to Cumbernauld Colts with the trip to the Indodrill their third and final public friendly.
In midweek Jude Bonnar scored in a 2-1 defeat away to Sligo Rovers which followed on from a 0-0 draw away to Fraserburgh.
Brendan Rodgers has dipped deep into the B team squad for the first team trip to Portugal with Ben McPherson, Daniel Kelly, Bruno Davidson, MacKenzie Carse and Michael Frame included as well as Ben Summers and Rocco Vata. Davidson and Frame have returned early from Portugal to play in today’s match at Alloa.
Celtic’s first team defeated Portimonense 4-1 with goals from Reo Hatate, Liel Abada, Summers and Oh Hyeon-gyu.
The first team fly back to Glasgow today then set out for Tokyo on Sunday.
