100 minutes after Anthony Joseph tweeted about Celtic’s interest in Dominik Livakovic, Nicolo Schira tweeted about an €8M offer for the goalkeeper coming in from Fenerbahce.
There is a perception that Celtic have been slow out of the blocks in the transfer window, with pre-season matches underway across Europe business is certain to increase with the SPFL opener against Ross County three weeks away.
Joe Hart has been virtually unchallenged as Celtic goalkeeper over the last two seasons but at the age of 36 and in the final year of his contract it is a position that requires attention.
A September injury to the former England keeper could see Scott Bain or Ben Siegrist pushed into Champions League action with virtually nothing on their record for the 22/23 season.
Domenik #Livakovic is getting closer to #Fenerbahçe from #DinamoZagreb. Offered €8M. Ready a contract until 2027. #transfers

Livakovic has a year left on his Dinamo Zagreb contract, after his impressive showing at the World Cup Finals in Qatar this summer is the optimum time for both club and player to move on.
Joseph does have a record of being fairly close to Celtic’s transfer activity without having delivered any blockbuster exclusive deals.
