Football’s got this kind of magical way of it keeps moving- Joe Hart on Ange’s exit

Joe Hart has detached the emotion out of Ange Postecoglou’s departure from Celtic.

Back in July 2021 the new manager needed a goalkeeper and contacted someone desperate to prove that his career wasn’t over at the age of 34.

Hart lost two goals in his Celtic debut away to Jablonec but in front of the first full house at Celtic Park in 17 months he pulled off two outstanding saves against AZ Alkmaar as a brand new relationship began to blossom.

Celtic’s new goalie had been part of the so-called Golden Generation of the England national team but rolled up his sleeves to get fully involved at Celtic with all parties feeling the benefits.

Ironically Postecoglou has made the reverse journey to Hart, joining Spurs three days after the Scottish Cup Final with the veteran keeper now getting used to the demands of another new manager in his career.

Look, we shared two really special years together, they were obviously very successful. People are interested in what you’re going to be doing next and what your ideas are and look, Ange had a decision to make and he made it.

We absolutely loved working under him and I really enjoyed my time personally, I really get on with him as a person and I wish him all the best. Football’s got this kind of magical way of it keeps moving. Next, we get the news that Brendan’s coming in and we’ve got a new focus and a new task.
