Conor Hazard is reported to be close to signing for Plymouth with Celtic in line for payments, add-ons and the rest.
It was believed that the goalkeeper was out of contract at the end of last season but perhaps Celtic had a 12 month option that they have kicked in.
Hazard has a unique place in Celtic history by helping to secure the Quadruple Treble with two penalty shoot-out saves against Hearts, picking up a winners medal without playing in front of any supporters.
This morning the Daily Record reported:
Plymouth are closing in on a six-figure deal to sign Conor Hazard.
The newly-promoted English Championship outfit have agreed a fee, with future add-ons, with Celtic.
The Northern Irish international is keen to kick on with his career and to get regular first-team football. The 25-year-old has come through the Celtic academy and has been at the club for nine years.
Hazard has been out on a few loan spells with the most successful being last year where he helped HJK Helsinki to win the Finnish title and played in Europe.
During the Lockdown season Neil Lennon switched between Hazard, Scott Bain and Vasilis Barkas with the rotation not helping any of the keepers.
With Plymouth promoted to The Championship for the new season Hazard is moving to a high level to hopefully get the chance to fulfil his early potential.
