The Revolution! planned by Phil Clement accelerated further into Belgian Beale territory over the weekend.
On Saturday he was telling reporters about his exciting young team but after losing 3-0 to Celtic that was being used as an excuse. Afterwards Kris Boyd worked it out that Celtic had an average age of 27 while the losers were aged 26, other than Kasper Schmeichel and Callum McGregor the Celtic players are younger than the seasoned losers that Clement turned to yesterday.
If loyal bears thought that their team had had a bad day it was compounded by the performance of their manager in his post match interviews.
First up on Sky Sports there was an incredible focus on the first 10-12 minutes and the two great chances missed by Cyriel Dessers and Rabbi Matondo, ignoring the fact that both players were in offside positions. Clement wasn’t grilled about the 80 minute capitulation that followed.
The phrase small margins seems to have been dropped but another favourite from last season, big moments, was used repeatedly as the Belgian bluffed his way through his own shortcomings and his summer Recruitment Revolution.
There were further interviews with club media and the all-in general conference, old friends BBC Scotland were also granted an exclusive interview where Clement hit out with some classics.

Clement said:
We started as the best team, with two clear chances. You need to take these moments if you want to win Old Firm games.
We are a young team, only just together. The starting XI of Celtic have a lot of experience together.
We have a lot of things to work on – we know. We knew that before the game already. In that way, it’s positive there were good signs in the way we started, but there are also lots of details to work on
Don’t forget what happened last week. It was the best result in around four years for the club. It’s not black and white – it’s grey, maybe dark grey.
Nobody wants to lose 3-0 but we need to take the right conclusions. The right conclusion is we should have made it 3-2 or 3-3 by being more efficient. They had four shots on target, we had four shots on target. There are a lot of things equal but not the result
It is clear that Clement is being fed deflection lines from the Ibrox PR machine, being so naturally dull and boring doesn’t help as he tries a Michael Fish impersonation knowing that the roof is caving in on his doomed regime.
Yesterday’s match made it four defeats and a moral victory for Clement in his first year in charge of the 2012 Tribute Act, it looks odds against that he will be in charge for the January 2 SPFL match with the main question unanswered- who’s next?
