Elite Sports compensation case continues to haunt The Rangers Football Club Limited

The compensation claim by Elite Sports (formerly the UK arm of Hummel) for compensation against The Rangers continues in Glasgow tomorrow.

After failing to have their three year contract honoured Hummel pulled out with 12 months left to run, since 2020 operating at Elite Sports they have been collecting the evidence for their claim which is believed to be worth around £10m.

It is an issued that the legacy Scottish media seem very averse to covering which can only suggest that it could be very damaging for the Tribute Act founded in 2012 by Charles Green.

Dave King, once described as a glib and shameless liar in a South African court was the Chairman that signed up to the Hummel deal with his cheerleaders saluting the brilliance of seeing off Mike Ashley and Sports Division.

That action kicked off one long and expensive court defeat, now Execitive Chairman John Bennett needs to deal with the Elite case while looking for a CEO,introducing a Player Trading Model and trying to find two missing boats with materials on route from Asian to Govan.

During his disastrous club media interview on Monday Bennett was at pains to express the needs to reduce costs, both in terms of wages and matching transfer fees going out with incoming fees.

With matchday income down due to the closure of Ibrox alongside the costs of hiring Hampden the last thing that Bennett requires is a £10m bill crystallising from the Dave King era.

Hummel were the Knights in Shining Armour for King as he dug into a battle with Sports Direct that he was never going to win.

When he signed up to Hummel it was a sign for Sports Direct to step in, no kits went on sale until September 2018 as the tone was set on two years with the iconic chevrons.

A variety of issues cropped up relating to online and traditional sales with the kits failing to be sold by the vast Sports Direct network.

The Rangers Football Club reached an out of court settlement with Sports Direct soon after Hummel pulled out of their contract, with perfect timing the likely lads from Castore Sports were introduced as the new kit manufacturer. Kit sales returned to Sports Direct.

After four years of stalling Elite Sports now have the sales data to make their claim.

With Clement recently admitting that he had no access to transfer funds being hit with a bill for £10m or even half of that figure would be a massive blow to the club at a time when the support is becoming increasingly critical of the executives leading the club.

Very hard to track these. This is the second hearing within 10 days, the grounds have been well laid out I would think five or six days would do with all of the contractual paperwork already in place.
