Celtic go silent as sick video of stewards attacking teenager goes viral

A video clip from a low profile Twitter/X account showing three Celtic stewards attack a teenage fan has been viewed more than 200,000 times in less than 24 hours.

There has been no comment from Celtic on the incident. The Supporters Liaison Officer has been copied in on hundreds of tweets without a response.

This afternoon Celtic invited their media partners in to provide them with content through the Christmas holiday.

Wilfried Nancy was put up to speak to broadcasters, daily newspapers and Sunday newspapers. Much of today’s comments are embargoed until later in the week to preview the match at Livingston.

Fan media is no longer invited on a rota of two per conference, each allowed to ask one question. A classic box ticking exercise. Now withdrawn by Communications Manager Iain Jamieson.

CELTIC AND THEIR MEDIA DEAL

Social media was outraged by the video clip. Celtic blanked it as they disrupted schedules to assist titles such as STV, the Daily Record and the Sun.

Not that many fans are in any doubt about the priorities of a PL that still plays on the slogan of ‘more than a club’.

Of course none of Celtic’s legacy media partners will touch the video clip shown below. That is how the partnership operates. News desks won’t jeopardise their Sports colleague with the sickening clip that has been trending.

Everything about the video clip is wrong.

In stoppage time at home to Aberdeen the week before Christmas nothing is happening. Fans are cold and bored.

They were delighted to get back to winning ways after a fortnight of misery. There was less than 30,000 fans left inside Celtic Park when James Forrest scored

CELTIC PARK 2025 STYLE

Not so the stewards who no longer have the Green Brigade to bully and intimidate. They need other targets to take their aggression out on.

Sadly it is a fairly typical scene around Celtic Park. With Season Ticket money banked in May the Celtic board are at liberty to do as they please with those pesky customers.

The contempt extends to shareholders at the AGM. In November they were on the end of a blistering attack from Ross Desmond as he read out Daddy’s statement.

After an adjournment and screaming BEHAVE at shareholders Chairman Lawwell packed up the AGM after less than one hour.

All to spare Michael Nicholson from a Q and A session.

That was just one incident in a lengthy charge sheet against the Celtic board.

In August fans attending the Falkirk League Cup tie were met with huge metal barriers across the concourses to restrict movement.

Be in no doubt about the level of animosity from the top of the club to the fans that fund their executive lifestyles.

FINGER BLADE

That animosity took a new sinister turn last week away to Dundee United.

While smirking CFO Chris McKay was videoing fans on his phone something ridiculous was being set up.

One image of a fan was being transformed into a report that an open blade was being flashed at the three Celtic Directors in attendance.

Most of Celtic’s media partners went in big on the story of the pointy finger and the high-viz vest.

The story was utterly ridiculous. But mud sticks.

Celtic have said nothing about the shameful non-incident. Their media friends were welcomed to the match against Aberdeen.

They were back again today to help them out with their Christmas schedules.

Over the next few days Celtic will turn on the Christmas charm across their social media platforms. Not a word will be said about the young fan above..

Michael Nicholson and McKay will pop into the Paradise Pit Stop on Christmas Day for a photo opportunity.

While the tills in the Celtic stores are virtually silent. As the Celtic kit grows higher and higher at warehouses.

Any fan thinking of ‘just buying something wee’ for Christmas should watch the video again.

Buying from Celtic helps pay the security firm providing matchday stewards at Celtic Park.
