Sky Sports News turned on their top Scottish pundit as he watched his beloved Tribute Act crash out of the Champions League to Dinamo Kiev.
It was a lonely experience for Kris Boyd in the Glasgow studio as he provided updates to the nation on the events at Hampden.
Down south Paul Merson, Tim Sherwood, Rachel Corsie and Clinton Morrison on Sky Sports News joined every Celtic fan in celebrating the defeat and the misery for Boyd- their wise cracking, fun loving colleague.
During the freaky Lockdown season Boyd’s grin became a meme for gloating Ibrox fans, with supporters allowed back into stadiums his familiar scowl has returned alongside the increasing grey whiskers and receding hairline.

Champions League nights at Ibrox, teams absolutely crumble (except Liverpool, Ajax and Napoli).
A draw in last week’s first leg held in Poland followed by a 2-1 home win over Motherwell was enough to convince most bears that a corner had been turned with the Clement Revolution! relaunched.
There were some concerns when the team was announced with Ross McCausland and Jefte in the line up, those fears were confirmed during the first half as Kiev dominated possession but looked unlikely to get a shot on target never mind a goal.
Six minutes into the second half Jefte foolishly picked up a second yellow card, the referee was from Rome and not Lanarkshire which was the excuse needed for Clement’s side to crumble. Sky Sports News viewers were getting primed for a meltdown from Boyd.
Kiev enjoyed even more possession, the 35,000 bears inside Hampden became increasingly restless with Ridvan Yilmaz suffering a serious thigh injury after a rare shot at goal.
The inevitable happened in the 82nd and 84th minutes as Kiev scored with the despair felt by Boyd as he realises that another season of misery is underway with Phil Clement on a record of 7 wins in 19 matches.
Wherever he looks he will find Celtic fans gloating at his misery and misfortune, after home matches against St Johnstone and Ross County Clement faces a Glasgow Derby with Boyd providing expert analysis from the Sky Sports studio inside Celtic Park.
