Nir Bitton has sent a very powerful message to the Green Brigade following their pre-match display at Celtic’s 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock.
In the early hours of this morning news emerged of a concentrated Hamas attack on Israel from Gaza City.
War has been raging in the region for years with the Green Brigade making their support for Palestine very visible.
Back in August 2016 when Hapoel Be’er Sheva were at Celtic Park in a Champions League qualifier they were met by a sea of Palestine flags even though the Celtic support had been warned that any political protest of display would result in a fine from UEFA.
Once the fine came through The Green Brigade raised £130,000 from donations which more than covered the fine with the remainder distributed to Palestinian charities.
Bitton spent nine years playing for Celtic, well aware of the support that the Green Brigade has for the Palestine movement.
There was never any incidents or protests against the player as he collected honours while playing for Celtic and Israel.

Funny how he knew how the Celtic support not just GB ,felt about how the Palestinians where being. Abused and mistreated by Israel,Yet he never once spoke out to defend his Country So now he’s. a coward to speak out in the safety of his home
