Adam Brooks is rumoured to be close to joining Inverness Caley Thistle.
The young striker has had an impressive two seasons in the Lowland League but like many others of his age the lack of a pathway into senior football is a source of concern.
Brooks could have followed some of his former team-mates into the under-age structure of EPL clubs but seems to want the test of first team football on offer from Inverness Caley Thistle.
Robbie Deas made the same move three years ago, on the back of that he had offers from a couple of Premiership clubs before opting to join Kilmarnock for the new season.

Brooks had been at Celtic since the age of 7. 💚
He could have earned more by staying at Celtic B, & also had options to be a back-up at EFL clubs, but has shown resilience & sensible ambition to negotiate an exit in pursuit of senior game-time.
A very interesting move. 👀

The lack of players coming through from the Academy could restrict Celtic’s European options with UEFA insisting that four club trained players are included in the 25 man squad.
Callum McGregor and James Forrest are obvious choices but beyond them Stephen Welsh, Tony Ralston and Mikey Johnston are the next options with Ralston the only one of that trio to be regularly involved in last season’s first team.
Brooks is 19 years of age and has been capped at u-16, u-17 and u-19 level by Scotland.
