Highly unusual image of old Celtic Park surfaces

A highly unusual, grainy image of Celtic Park has turned up on Twitter.

The modern Celtic Park is well recorded in print with numerous images inside and outside the ground easily accessible on social media.

The floodlights are the most striking feature of this image with, to the left the then fairly modern South Stand providing the highest point above three other terrace roofs.

At the front of the image the green, green grass of the back gardens of the Dalriada Street tenements, now used as car parking on match-days, vacant the rest of the time.

The image appears to have been doctored, it can look like a painting but it does have incredible detail of the Glasgow city centre skyline in the background which suggests photo shopping.

Whatever has been done it appears to have been taken from the high rise flats off Helenvale Street.

Soon afterwards another image appeared featuring the short lived North Stand of season 93/94 which was a cheap job of bolting seats into the Jungle.
